3. Cats, like many people, crave attention. The more you ignore them the more they want your attention.

And they express this want often in most unusual ways; such as standing on your chest and purring at 6 am, and crapping in the bathtub if you leave them home alone overnight (even though there is a clean, sand filled “chi-chi” box put there for their hygienic use).

Cats also like to bring you “presents” like dead birds and mice to gain attention.
