Green Lullaby Makes Recycled Dollhouses and Doll Cradles

green lullaby doll cradleEcomum has already sung the praises of Israeli company Green Lullaby’s cardboard-made EcoCradle.  Made completely out of corrugated cardboard, this lightweight and easily assemblable cradle is a great eco friendly alternative to new, shiny wood or metal cribs and can be used for a baby’s first few months.  EcoCradles are completely recyclable, made mostly from recycled materials, and protected by a green non-toxic fire retardant.

In case big brothers and sisters have gotten envious of their younger sibling’s EcoCradle, Green Lullaby has just come out with green doll cradles and dollhouses.

The doll cradles rock from side to side just like the EcoCradle, and have a trendy yet classic design.  The doll cradles could be easily assembled and disassembled for travel, and come with a 100% natural doll mattress.  Find a lead-free or second hand doll to go in that cradle and you’ve got some bona fide green kid fun.

Green Lullaby got started when Ruti Keenan became pregnant with her first child and was looking for a greener, healthier career.  Wanting to do something positive for the earth and for her baby, she decided to design children’s furniture and toys out of recycled cardboard.

Other Green Lullaby products include a cardboard work bench and cardboard storage blocks.  Even though everything is made out of cardboard, all the products are water-resistant and can even be cleaned with a wet washcloth.

For more info on where to pick up one of these great toys, check out the Green Lullaby website.

Why does eczema so often begin in childhood and how can we prevent it?

The first years of life may represent a critical window when environmental exposures: dust, mold, indoor allergens, pollutants, microplastics, all shape immune trajectories in lasting ways. If scientists can find safe ways to calm this early-life immune pathway, it may be possible to prevent allergic disease before it spreads from the skin to the lungs or gut.
