Top 10 Middle East Environmental Stories From 2010 (SLIDESHOW)

carmel fire israel

One of the worst fires in Israel’s history swept through and charred 5,000 hectares of the Carmel Forest, killing more than 40 people. Prison guards in a bus en route to evacuate prisoners were burned to death when their vehicle became engulfed in flames. Investigations are ongoing.
