Are you a green entrepreneur? Need to grow a business model that creates environmental and social value? Want to launch your new green service or product but don’t know where to begin? A new entrepreneurship program is seeking participants from Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan for their November training event. It’s free – but you need to act now.
The workshops start in November (in Lebanon and Jordan) and in December (in Palestine), occurring over five days spread across three months. Candidates are chosen based partly upon a feasibility assessment of their green business, and will be required to apply hands-on learning methodologies along the way. Training will be available in Arabic, French, English and Hebrew.
SwitchMed, an EU-funded initiative that supports and connects stakeholders in scaling-up innovation – throughout the Mediterranean region – is sponsoring the program.
Assisted by a team of professionals, you will learn how to convert your green idea into a successful green business. The program follows five progressive steps:
Step 1. Sketch & Set – sketch out the idea and explore underlying motivations to make it happen
Step 2. Build – design our project using the “green business canvas”
Step 3. Test – gauge assumptions and adopt a progressive approach to testing in real market conditions
Step 4. Implement – once the model is market-validated, develop the financial plan
Step 5. Measure & Improve – set up a continuous improvement system via measuring metrics
If you live in Palestine, Lebanon or Jordan and have an enterprising spirit, grab this opportunity. Apply before the 30th September in Lebanon and Jordan, and before the 15th October in Palestine. Check out the SwitchMed website (link here) for more info.
