“Green Our Transportation!”

Green Course , the only nation-wide student environmental organization in Israel is organizing a demonstration this coming thursday. They are protesting the unreliability of the current public transportation.

The mass email sent out calling all students to arms states: “We condemn how the municipality is using the current light-rail project as an excuse to ignore implementing any other project that can improve the current situation of public transportation.”

The demonstration will take place this thursday at 5pm in Jerusalem’s Municipality complex, Safra Square. For details call Omri: 054-522-9607

As far back as he can remember Jack Reichert has been interested in the environment. In the second grade, he rallied all of his classmates to donate one recess a week to cleaning up litter from the schoolyard. That was the same year that a city councilman asked him to help with his campaign because of the letter Jack had written asking him to clean up Boston Harbor. Ever since Jack has followed the development of the international green conscience with anticipation and hope that one day we will treat Mother Earth with the respect she deserves and not turn her into another Giving Tree.
