This has already been proven by hydrologists who tested this water in the Dead Sea and found that it causes forms of algae to develop.

The only solution is to enable substantial quanties of natural outflow from the Lower Jordan River into the lake; and this w/o the sewage inflow presently being dumped into the stream.

]]> By: Maurice https://www.greenprophet.com/2015/05/canada-and-usa-sign-on-to-rehabilitate-the-jordan-river/#comment-1030783 Sun, 10 May 2015 09:27:30 +0000 http://www.greenprophet.com/?p=109444#comment-1030783 During a media tour of the Lower Jordan River in May, 2010, I was made acutely aware of the sad state of the steam when we were shown the main “source” of the Lower Jordan, a pipe spewing raw sewage and another with brine water not usable for agriculture. “these outflows are most of what makes up the Lower Jordan River” we were then told by Gidon Bromberg, who took us on this tour.

It’s good to see that now there may be hope to restore more of the stream’s natural flow; and by doing so help save the Dead Sea as well.
