I’m Lebanese and I’m ashamed that my country is still not willing to put the past behind and think about the future. In the name of defending the land and all the BS they feed us, they are crushing our economy and driving people to flee the country. They’ve been “defending the land” for over 30 years and nothing happened but making people suffer. It’s time to adopt a different policy hmmm….I don’t know maybe PEACE!!!!

Yes, they should have checked possible implications, but the real problem lies with the stupid and racist/discriminatory, middle-age styled law in Lebanon and other Arab/Muslim countries. This could have been a bridge, and you made it look like a sword!
