If you need to use the word “feminist” as a pejorative, then I have no use for you. I will not let you put me or any other woman down with the proud appellation…feminist. If you cannot see how lopsided male power is in Kuwait, then willful ignorance, or ‘plain dumbness’ belongs with you. It takes a stunningly brave person, especially a female, to speak the truth in that “chaos”. We need her voice!

While I’m personally all up for the right to express one’s opinion, doing so amidst such chaos in the Middle East, expecting to get away with it when similar actions have been taken in the past, makes it sound like either it is a deliberate move to get this publicity or the person’s just plain dumb..
