Thanks for this. Worked a dream for me. I used straight from tbe pot with a butter knife to smooth on. Then used strips from an old sheet to remove wax and hair. Perfect! Didnt time the cooking of this, just simmered gently till a golden colour.

for anyone wondering if you can pot this up for a warmer:

oh em gee! im in love- worked out perfectly for me on the first shot! of course i know how to make candy, so i know to not get it too hot or else you're dealing with the hard ball phase...to compensate for this i started off on medium heat until everything was a light golden color & then instantly turned the heat to the lowest setting possible. i left it a bit longer, prob around 15 mins at this heat, stirring once a minute or so, then turned it off & strained it directly into my old warming wax container. now i can let it cool a bit until i can handle the heat of picking it up & just plop it into the warmer for use whenever. best of all, i really can see any difference between the homemade & the suddenly smooth i paid $13 for...never buying wax again! lastly, cut up an old cotton tshirt into strips & now i dont have to buy strips that cost $11!

I was doing everything step by step, but when I put it on me it was so sticky!!! My hands were all like holding a wet candy - sticky. And also it was really hard to remove it from body, finally I just washed it out. What should I do? :(
