He may one day be known as the father of modern electricity. Even Thomas Edison stole ideas and innovations from him. Tesla believed that free electricity could be obtained by harnessing the earth’s electromagnetic energy it obtains from the sun. This may be why oil companies were so interested in making sure Tesla’s theories and experiments were not utilized.
