Been there, and it is really a shame. People have put in so much effort to try and clean this river up, and build a gorgeous park by its side. But the water still remains polluted. I believe we were told that most of the turtles that give birth locally have unviable young. Only when they are taken away to hatcheries can they give birth to young that will survive. Would be really sad to see this population die out.

By the way, in addition to the wildlife you can see at the park, there is also a beautiful variety of plant life to be seen in the park, along the walking path.

Green Prophet: Do you see any chance of this situation changing with the polluters up river? Any progress at all? Any thoughts on how it might improve?
