The lack of civility and courtesy at the core of littering is also at the core of traffic deaths, pushing in line, rude teenagers, smoking in restaurants, shouting on cellphones, and a gruff, discourteous “I don’t care about anyone but myself” temperment that is undermining Israeli society.
