Pronounced kap-a-dokia, see pinkish lunar landscape over miles and miles of desert in Cappadocia, Turkey. Carved out of pre-historic lava, the first human settlements begun and to protect themselves from the wild they lived in these underground cities.
Spanning miles and miles of territory, eco-tourists and hikers alike can get a chance to visit these endless caves, and even sleep in one at night. They get damp so bring a warm sleeping blanket.
