yes! it is true! smoking really affects IQ level! and alcohol too!

Another interesting study came out of Britain last month from data collected in the US. Men who are more liberal, atheistic and 'sexually exclusive' have IQ's 6-11 points higher than their counterparts who are not. The study did not find similar correlations in women.Keep in mind that for the IQ test, 15 points is a standard deviation (at least it used to be!). If the average person has an IQ of 100, then these scores indicate half a standard of deviation approximately. 10 points higher may not seem that big, except it is significant. Additionally, there are many other measurements of intelligence, EQ being very common.At the end of the day, best to stop smoking and feel so much smarter for it, right?! ;)

I am sure that this article is based on studies and researches, and maybe I am one of the exceptions, but I am a smoker and I don't have a lower IQ. So..
