People ask me who to order - and I suggest Hubeiza. They are on time, reliable and consistent. No big surprises, and good quality. They let you come and visit the farm any time.

Another great CSA farm is Hubeza in the Ayalon valley, catering to residents of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the area. I have been getting their stuff for the past two years and I'm totally addicted!

The environmental progress in Israel is certainly inspiring. As for getting to the farm without a car, it is very hard. I took a train to the owner of the farm's house and then walked to his home, from where we drove together to the field 15 minutes away by car. That was how I volunteered there.

However, if you can't get to the farm to pick up your basket they send out deliveries of their vegetables to drop-off locations in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other cities and towns, and if you pay a premium, you can order a delivery to your home. I opted for the drop-off option.

Great to see an article written on CSA delivery. Coming from Finland ,where eco friendliness is highly valued and not finding that same attitude here in Israel, I am happy to read about things like these. Unless one owns a car, how does one get to this Organi farm?
