Driving?

If you’re out and about and you know that you will be sitting idle in your car for more than a minute, turn your motor off. It’s a great way to safe energy, gas and money. Those drops add up over time.

Surely you need to be sitting idle for more than a minute to make it worth it. The amount of energy to switch the engine on again is surely greater?!?

The issue is with the starter, I think. People in Switzerland have been doing this switch off at traffic lights for years. They reason that the cost of a starter is worth it to save the environment from excess idling emissions.
